Getting Started

  • New Users: In order to begin a new homestead application, you must create a user account.
    • Click “Sign Up” to create your account.
    • Once you have completed the sign-up process, you will receive an email from ‘Just Appraised‘ to activate your account.
      **Please remember to check your junk or spam folder if an email is not received in your regular inbox within a few minutes.**
  • Returning Users: if you have already created an account, please log-in.  You will be directed to applications which have been started and are in progress as well as already completed and submitted applications.

Requirements for Homestead Exemption

 

  • Ownership of the property required on January 1.
  • US Citizenship of Legal US residency status required on January 1.
  • Permanent Florida residency required on January 1.
  • Intent of Permanent residency at the property required on January 1.

Items to have available before completing this application online:

If applicable, each individual applying should have the following documents before proceeding.

 

  • Social Security Number(s) of applicant(s) and spouse (if applicable)
  • Florida Driver’s License or Florida ID (with current address)
  • Florida Vehicle Tag Number (if applicable, with current address)
  • Voter Registration (if applicable, MUST reflect property address)
  • Proof of payment of utility service with usage (with current address)
  • Everyone applying with a Legal US residency status (Not applicable to US Citizens), Immigration documentation from USCIS or DHS MUST be submitted (Permanent Resident Cards, Green Cards, or any status adjustments or application(s) in process)
