Ms. Solomon grew up in East Gainesville where she saw first-hand the disparities in the area as well as the true strength of the community. As a Girl Scout, she learned leadership skills that helped her become the trailblazer she is today. She is passionate about helping individuals in the community by ensuring everyone has access to basic services, like the Property Appraiser’s office.

While Ms. Solomon was elected Alachua County Property Appraiser in 2020 and inaugurated in January 2021, her diverse career at the office spans over two decades.

In June of 2001, a young and determined Ayesha Solomon began her career at the Alachua County Property Appraiser’s Office. Ms. Solomon’s first role at the office was an entry-level Customer Service Specialist.  She worked her way up throughout the office earning promotions and learning aspects of other departments. She served the Residential Department, the Commercial Department, and the Tangible Personal Property Department before becoming the Administrative Manager until the commencement of her first term as Property Appraiser.

Ayesha earned her Certified Florida Appraiser (CFA) designation, a Florida Real Estate license, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University, and a Master of Business Administration with a Specialization in Project Management from Northcentral University, which provided her education and experience to further understand various aspects of the office.  As a member of Class 46 of Leadership Gainesville, Ayesha learned about biases, made connections with community members from various walks of life, and saw first-hand the differences of experiences and perspectives throughout the community.

Ayesha’s key initiatives for the Property Appraiser’s office are focused on producing a fair and equitable tax roll by maintaining transparency, embracing new and innovative technology, enhancing community outreach, and increasing exceptional customer service for all taxpayers in Alachua County.

Our office seeks to provide exemplary customer service utilizing our knowledge, integrity, and teamwork within both the office and the community.  We hope you receive that.  In the event you have a question or concern you would like to bring to Alachua County Property Appraiser, Ayesha Solomon, CFA, please click the button below.
